I have been pondering this. Has anyone else noticed that conquest has no real reward? Number one, it has to be more realistic. I say, you don't include it in your actual population, but the Population of the country taken is ADDED to a Net Population. This is what Empires did. They had a census for each country, then added it together. Okay, lets(hypothetically) say that down a bit. Lets say WITH ONLY ITALY my population is 5 million, since I just started nationstates.
I take Britain, which when I start, a predetermined person, who is on the Moderation staff, and is not me, rolls a dice. And gets 2. We translate that into 2 million, and theres how much the conquered land is worth. So we put that on our population like a math problem.
5 million + 2 million = 7 million
NOW lets say I take China. and That trusted person rolls a 3. I get 3 million population off that Conquest.
5 million + 2 million + 3 million = 10 million
So my total Population is Ten Million, including britain, Italy, and china(Of course, starting nations do not count, but this IS a hypothetical example.)
Now what does everyone think... I mean, as is, Conquest is utterly USELESS. This is why I do not get involved in conquest unless someone else is involved, making the scenario look interesting. I mean, we need SOME sort of reward. I just think this is the BEST reward, seeing as in RL your population would shoot up substancially with a conquest.
