Imerialism is where you claim an area, and take over it after conflict. You can go to war with a country to take some of its land, or claim an anarchic region after a battle. Once the area is your, however, you must invest time, forces, and funds into rebuilding it, and giving your new citizens a good life. You will not want to do this too much, as it will make other PRers angery at you, and you look like an idiot. For example, I claimed the country of Uzbekistan after an RP scenario involved a coup of the government by a rouge citizen of mine. Biggie laid claim to Maine after an American Revolution RP in which he held that state successfully through the entire RP.

To claim an area you must state your intent to take it, and then RP through the battles that take place out of your desire, many times your opponant will be a NPC, or Non-Player characters, if you are fighting a NPC you will RP the wars, but will take both sides. If you take an area after an RP scenario, you must state that your nation will be occupying it, and start to clean it up and station troops to defend the land, after that you will contact the map master to add your new claim to the map. Again, do not do this too often, it can be very annoying to have some one claiming every peice of land they can get their hands on, and it makes the international community very angery. Keep in mind whether or not you can support the addition of new land and people, and then decide if you should take more.
