"The nurse? She seems to like me, and I can't really say I don't like her."

The King smiled. "I was wondering, because you will be working with Fleet General Ferrari for at least a year. I don't want to throw you in the command seat until I think you see the way we Necron do things. I'm sure you understand."

"Well General Turner, I believe that is all. If you have nothing else to add, Nurse Alana Crushedstone is outside the door waiting for you." The King placed a key on the desk. "This is your Military locker key. When you get back, you'll find everything you need in there." The doors slid open.
OOC: Night Yich.

OOC: Sorry to hear that. Do you have to see the doctor? IC: Alana smiled as he walked out. "How did it go?" The door closed behind Turner.

OOC: the doctor might have been a good idea, but I chose not to go, just went home and iced it for a few hours.
IC: "In short, well." Turner said, "in long, very well. I am soon to be General Turner."

She began to walk him back to his new room. "I am supposed to give you a basic rundown of how things are going to be going for the next year. We run on the Standard Universal Seven day week, twenty four hours. Always have, always will. Today is Sunday, the first day of the week. You have this week off, however, next Sunday you have to go to work. You will have to do the standard phsyical test for a Necron. I think they're gauging it a little different, since you're not a native Necron and don't have the same 'gifts' we do. Its a five day test you have to take twice a month. You take it the second and forth weeks of the month. Your 'locker', which is the slang the troops use for rooms, is in North sector, room 215. In there you will find your military clothes, standard black clothing with a black trench. Now, there is also your Military armor. In your bookshelf is a guide to using it. Memorize it, or else you'll be in big trouble. There is also your standard Assault Rifle and handgun. You're not allowed to walk around with the rifle on board unless specified by General Ferrari. When you become a full general, you may. Your handgun can be carried at all times. Your Wrist-Assistant, which contains all your computer files, maps, etc. is inside your room also. Any questions?"

"Only one," Turner said, "When I get my ship back, may I then carry my sword, I left it in my cabin?"

"We Necron encourage the use of slicing based weapons on the field. You don't have to reload a sword, you know? Mostly high ranking warriors carry melee weapons. All non-standard issue weapons must be approved, however, by the Warlord's assistant, however."

Turner nodded, "One with such historic significance as this should pass without much problem."

"Here's your room. Your wrist-assistant will display a amp when you're ready. It will lead you to the bridge. Need anything else?"

"No, thank you, Alana." Turner said, "Thank you for all you've done."
Turner shut the door softly and set about dressing. Arrayed in all black, sidearm just inside his coat, in a makeshift pocket he'd sewn in, Turner followed the map to the bridge.
