He grabbed a table for them and took a few bites. "So what were you all doing before this, as in, what job?"

The emergency lights flickered on as the shudders stopped. Gaunt stood up and looked over his men.
They were crowded in the old breifing rooms, freinds all, veterans of campaign after bloody campaign.
Gaunt cleared his throat, heads turned.
"Men, today war came, and today war went. We are survivors, we are warriors. What do warriors of the NX-SS DO?"
"WE FIGHT, WE SURVIVE, FOR NOX" the chorus rang
"yes, however today we are Nox, i have heard nothing from the other fortresses. We are to wait a week then open the upper mountain gate and see what the superpowers have done. Do not fear men, we are survivors and by god we will SURVIVE, DISSSSMISSSED"
The men saluted and tramped out to reflect on what would come next.
Gaunt sighed and let his shoulders slump, he was worried about his wife Lucy, she had known the dangers, she had been informed about the risk. He just prayed she would stay strong. He shook his head, "no" He grumbled, "my duty is to my people, it is the wish of the king, whoever that is now" After a lengthy pause Gaunt stands and moves off to his rooms leather cap clenched in his scarred hands. There was one thing he could do, contact allied safety points and hope that enough had survived.

OOC: Its only Fair
IC: Gaunt had heard nothing as of yet, he was worried, his force was a special strike force, with nothing to strike at, the men were worried, this small outpost codename "nox eternis" was just too isolated.

"Fascinating. So are you one of the people saying that this is the Apocalypse?"

"Am I gone? According to the Christian faith, during the Apocalypse, a rapture shall protect all the true believers. Therefore, although, the meaning of 'rapture' is not quite clear, it is clear that the Christians will be removed from the Chaos at hand. This is not the Apocalypse as per my religion."

"There were those that believed the rapture happened in teh middle, and at the end. Then there are those who believe in no rapture at all. Baptists are so varied, you never know what they believe."

"Yet god also said that it would be unexpected. The fact that we're sitting in a Bunker tells me this was figured out LONG before now." James said.
